This patient underwent orthognathic surgery consisting of a LeFort I maxillary advancement, bilateral sagittal split osteotomy (BSSO) mandibular setback, and osseous genioplasty reduction to correct a skeletal jaw discrepancy and improve facial balance.

At seven months after surgery, these before-and-after photos demonstrate significant improvement in facial harmony and jaw position. Advancing the upper jaw while repositioning the lower jaw created a more balanced facial profile, reduced lower facial prominence, and improved the relationship between the nose, lips, chin, and jawline. The reduction genioplasty further refined chin projection, contributing to a softer and more proportional appearance.

These results highlight how corrective jaw surgery can address underlying skeletal imbalances, producing dramatic improvements in facial aesthetics that cannot be achieved through orthodontic treatment alone.
